Really enjoying my piercing these days! Now the soreness is about a .5/10 and it is hardley swollen at all. I can sleep on it, and I clean it 2x a day. I hardley touch it. For the past two weeks I could tell I had the piercing. But after a successful healing period it has become integrated into my life and I hardley notice it unless I am looking in a mirror. I got a flu shot the other day, and that flu shot actually hurt worse than the actual piercing. OUCH! I did recently aquire a sterile CBR from Tribaletic and I am still patientley waiting to change the stud.
Still so much in love with my new piercing! Still a little sore/swollen-I swell really easily though. Everyday that passes though the soreness goes down. Sorness is about a 2/10 and last weekend it was a 4/10, and last week it was about a 6/10. I tolerate pain really well (I get stress stomaches) so this piercing has not bothered me much. Still keeping up with my saline cleanings (I use the sterile wound cleaning type that sprays with a cotton ball and q tip) Try to not sleep on that side but I toss and turn at night so it is hard.
So it is day 6 of my helix piercing..
It all began last Monday on labor day when my amazing roommmates defided to get their noses pierced. I have wanted to do something more than my ear lobes for a long time but have never known exactly what I have wanted or have the courage to get it done. I thought about my nose, but I knew going into business I would have to remove it before interviews, and my parents would never be happy with me. I first decided to get my ears re double pierced, but when I went into the piercing place, I wanted to be a little more daring.
