Call it crazy or brave, I have always wanted a brand. My wife was interested in it also; giving one, not recieving one lol.

I think it looks great, but it will take a while to heal. I will post pictures of the healing process every seven days.
I considered scarification for while. Hadn't realy settled on branding or a lift. The idea of having texture to a design was a big draw, but I don't really develop keloids (raised scar tissue) so the idea was shelved.
If there are no spelling mistakes above, I am on my computer. Otherwise, I'm on my droid phone and I apaullagyze for my atroughshush spelling.
Yikes PM, what was the pain like on that? What part of your body did you get it on, and what is it of? I don't even know what the healing time is for that or how you even do after care. Congrats and happy healing.
"Jo Possibly" became "Jo Pierced" on Friday, 10 April '09
Happy 3 year piercing birthday to me ~ 10 April, 2012. Yes, 3 years, the time just flew by.
I definitely want a brand eventually but my result will probably be rather faint as I don't really scar. I still have to figure out what I want and where I want it on my body.
I believe the most important thing (besides keeping it clean) is debriding the branded area so that it forms a proper scar.
Life is short; enjoy your pain.
We agree. We did a lot of research and recieved great advice from our "professional" piercer, scarification, and branding expert who is still trying to convince me to go professional. Placement is key, depending on the size of the brand and your best spot for the intitial pain and healing process. We decided on my left ass cheek due to the size of the brand. Let us know if you do get branded; we would love to read and see the experience. As always, thanks for your kind and supportive comments.
How crazy that 2 people post a blog on this topic on the same day. In my 3 years, I have never really seen it talked seriously about, and now both of you. So, I will post the links for both of you. Of course, you have to be buddies to see his pics, but here is the blog:
Hope your newest modification is healing good, how has the pain been? Congrats again.
The healing process has been going good so far. That is strange that all of a sudden two post about it came up. I hope csqiud doesn't look at that link; he is the reason why most of my blog was censored.
Your blog was edited to conform to Tribalectic rules. If Csquid hadn't seen it first, one of us other Moderators or one of the Administrators would have taken care of it.
Well, what would it take to get completley censored?
PM - I edited the blog post because of this:
"Tribalectic, while endeavoring to create a community of free expression and sharing, does not condone the practice of self piercing. Tribalectic believes that piercing, when done in a safe environment by a trained professional, can be an enriching and personally spiritual experience. Therefore, it is Tribalectic's policy to close all posts regarding self piercing that are inquiring as to materials, practices, and other means that would help facilitate self piercing. This includes forum posts as well as blog posts."
Now I understand that it says "piercing," but it has been our practice here to use that to refer to all self-done body modifications such as brands, scarification, tattoos, piercings and other related practices.
Never miss someone from your past - there's a reason they didn't make it to your future!
I understand that this great site has certain rules: I was just not aware of the "self-piercing/mod" rule. I would have easily modified the blog post if given a "heads up" instead of "I have to report it" routine. I greatly appreciate your response to this issue along with a quote of that specific rule. Thanks again, and happy healing
No problem. Fee free to discuss your mod and just leave out any instructional stuff. Thanks for being mature and understanding.
