Hey folks, your U.S. team kind of humiliated England by 1:1!
And the Germans won 4:0 over Australia
Hi there King05!
Friday is our day, isn't it?
What's your guess with USA vs. Slovenia in Johannesburg? And before it's going to be Germany vs. Serbia in Port Elizabeth (makes me think of Stephen Biko by the way).
And f..., what is this?!? Spain lost against Switzerland??? Did the Swiss bribe them with some anonymous bank accounts? lol
Hi, on Friday Germany vs Serbia => happens.
"Adieu le Bleue"
Germany won 1:0 against Ghana. So Germany will be playing against England on Sunday. A really classical game!!
And the USA made it to the next round as well: no. 1 in group "C"! Landon Donovan made the one and only goal in the 91st minute against Algeria. They'll play against Ghana on Saturday (26 June). Ghana being the last African team to be still in.
i'm not too sure about soccer.... it's not a strength of mine, although I wish I was there to photograph it
Beckenbauer says: "Das ist der Klassiker". Germany vs England.
Sorry for the English Football Team, your time in South Afreica will be over on Sunday. We wish them a good journey at home
Italy is out of Africa
Football äh England is commimg home
Gary Lineker “Soccer is a game for 22 people that run around, play the ball, and one referee who makes a slew of mistakes, and in the end Germany always wins.”
So, let's hope the next one is going to be: "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"
Germany vs Argentina 4:0 "the Party goes on and on and on ..."
Hey with Star over here with me I'm rooting for Germany for sure! They kicked ass today! Just got done talking to Star's sister in Germany and the whole family was over there watching the game. Star has such a great family.
Go Germany! TOR! TOR! TOR!
Just your average white collar guy with some major steel in his pants.
I can't believe it myself. A week ago I actually thought the German team would never win against the Argentinians. And if ... possibly it would be pretty close like 2:1 or 3:2. But four/nil ... that was marvellous. And, actually, the Germans were very critical about their team. Of course, almost everybody hoped they would make it ahead. Somehow. But not like that! Thanks to Yogi Löw, their coach. People make fun about his hairstyle, his South-Western German accent ... But actually he did a great job in "assembling" this team. What is really amazing, is that some of the guys didn't perform really well in the last to seasons in their premier league (local) teams. But now, being together in this national choice of top players, they perform first class. The Germans were never excellent in playing an "artistic" football (soccer) like e.g. the Brazilians or being the super individuals, but they succeeded when some smart people in the German Football Federation put the right guys together who were able to "grow together" as a TEAM in the final decisive weeks. And for your guys in the U.S.: you have to consider that some of the players are playing in England, Spain or some other nation's premier league. So getting them together to play for their "original" nation and to fit into a team is quite difficult. Of course, bigger and richer countries like Germany have it a bit easier to raise the money in order to fly-in these players for "National-Team Training". But France and Italy showed how lousy even some of the bigger European countries' teams can perform.
It is very great to see the team spirit thing within the German team of 2010 getting them so far already.
To me, even 3rd place would be a very great success.
Let's see ... So, the next games are Uruguay vs. The Netherlands on July 6th and Germany vs. Spain on July 7th they will be 6.30 p.m. G.M.T. which means 2.30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Savings Time and 8.30 p.m. Central European D.S. Time
P.S.: Women's FIFA World Championships will be in Germany next year.
P.P.S.: If I used some strange expressions, please, tell me. I always want to improve my English.
So, the German Football Team lost agains Spain 0:1. The Spain was the better Team. I hope for the Spainish Tean agains the Dutch Team.
Let's see. I haven't seen a single minute of the Dutch team playing in the entire championships. So I don't have a real good guess. Anyway: the Spanish never had the title and for the Dutch being vice-world champion would be good enough. But, who knows, maybe it turns out the other way. I hope we are going to see an exciting game.
By the way: have you got a Spanish flag to wave??
Hi Schwanzring, sorry, I haven´t a Spanish flag. I have only a Danish, New Zeeland, US, Italien an of course a German Flag.
And now, the Party is over... The spanish team won the championship. The next one is in 4 years. See you then in Brasil
