Yesterday was a sad day. I had to have both nipple piercings removed due to my body rejecting the stainless steel rings. The left one had migrated severely (I could get the tip of my finger between the ring and my nipple)and the right one had migrated some. The left was the worse. The skin sctually tore Thursday night when I removed my bra and went to clean it. Blood spewed out when it tore. I knew they had been sore, the left more than the right, and I had had some discharge. The rings were getting crusty at times but not as much as when I first had them pierced. I had been out of state most of the week and had promised myself to visit the piercer upon my return. I was/am still using the antibacterial soap and saline.
The piercer suggested removing both rings , let my nipples heal and return in 6-8 weeks for repiercing. He suggested trying barbells next time instead of rings. He explained to me thats it is like a splinter and my body wastrying to get rid of them. I had read this on online somewhere. He also said where I have large breasts (42D), that this may be the source of the problem also. I had also read this somewhere online too.
Does 6-8 weeks sound like a reasonable amount of time for healing before repiercing?
On the bright side, I look forward to having that fresh pierced sensitivity again. On the downside, I am afraid there will be a lot of scar tissue and its going to hurt twice as much. I am also thinking about having the VCH stretched to a 14 from a 16 at the same time when I get my nipples repierced.
