ok i need your help i have had my nipple rings for some time now. i am noticing that the rings are starting to make there way out. any ideas on what i can do or how to stop this from happening? love having them but this is no fun:(
It sounds like they are rejecting. I would check with my piercer and see if they think that they could do something (like a different type of jewerly) to save them.
Rejecting piercings really suck!
Sherri, I wish you gave more details about your jewelry and eolahow long you have had the piercing and stuff, and a nice clear pic. Dexter has a good point to visit your piercer right away, the further the piercing migrates, the less likely it will be savable.
I will tell you my experience, but it may or may not apply. I got my left nipple pierced in Sept 09, and within a few weeks, it started migrating forward. It was pierced right in the crease where the nipple meets the arreola, so I figured out the balls on the ends of the barbells were pushing back against my arreola, causing the bar to move forward, so I tried smaller balls and then a longer barbell.
I wanted to try a curved bb, but I didn't know how to measure for length, so I got a large diameter ring, b/c it would have less of a curve than a small diameter ring. I was told that nipples heal better with barbells, by my piercer and some "tribers," and also that I shouldn't change jewelry til it was healed, which could take a year.
So, I didn't want to change it so soon, and ao really didn't want to, but it did save the piercing. And once I got the ring in and saw that it wasn't migrating any more, I left it alone. Now it is 1 year old and seems to have healed nicely, but I am not gonna go crazy with jewelry changes or all kinds of pulling on them. I want it to toughen up really well 1st.
