Hell yeah! A LOT of my
Posted on April 14, 2009, 11:13 amHell yeah! A LOT of my client base is older. I've even done nipple and genital piercings on people in their 60s and though rare, 70s too! I love that. Power to 'em all!
And I'm all pierced and tattooed up (and have been for many, many years). But now that I'm getting older it seems to really confuse people. : )

I'm 40 and just started
Posted on April 15, 2009, 8:38 amI'm 40 and just started getting pierced this year. I hope to have at least some of them still around when I'm a senior citizen. It's funny to me when I think about what the typical nursing home resident might look like 35-40 years from now.

Absolutely! My husband and I
Posted on April 15, 2009, 9:47 amAbsolutely! My husband and I live in the Yucatan of Mexico (a great place to retire, because the dollar goes so far here, and medical care is good, and MUCH cheaper than the US. And it's nice and warm. Okay--it's hot. But that's how we like it.
Anyway, we've spoken more than just jokingly about the idea of running some kind of retirement community for the pierced/tattooed/alternative seniors.
Seems like a good idea!

Posted on April 15, 2009, 12:42 pmYou can sign me up.
Heck, I'll just come to visit in the meantime.
I've tried to get my 80-year-old mom interested in learning about piercing, but she's just not interested. She has diabetes and has started having trouble with needles, tape, and the like hurting lately -- probably neuropathy. So, she just can't understand why I'd willingly do the things that she dreads. I guess I can see her point though.

37 here and I got my HCH a
Posted on April 27, 2009, 11:47 am37 here and I got my HCH a few months ago. I love it and have absolutely no regrets doing it. While I was waiting to get called in for my piercing I was thinking to myself "you're crazy, you're 37 with 2 little kids. What the hell are you doing here?" After my piercer held the mirror up so I could see her handywork and my new piercing any regret I had quickly disappeared. I immediately fell in love with it.
I'm not sure about anymore PDBs for me but who knows. I never would have though I'd do this.
One of the cool benefits of my piercing is that I've gotten to chat with and come to know some really nice people on this site.

Hi. I'm 40 and started a
Posted on April 22, 2009, 5:34 amHi. I'm 40 and started a couple of years ago. The first one migrated so I removed it, let it heal and started over with a new piercer. I'm much happier now. I learned from my mistake. I now have a total of 4. My wife is 39 and just got her first and last. Not fond of needles. I'm hooked. From the pain of the needle going through, to the rush I get afterwards. I want more. Do you think there are piercings that are not apropreate for certain ages? I have mentioned a few that I'm interested in, however my wife and friends were opposed. I have 2 teenaged boys so I'm always thinking of them. It's not like I'm getting something really crazy. I just feel like I belong when I getting pierced. Thanks, Rich

Piercing is very personal,
Posted on April 22, 2009, 11:54 amPiercing is very personal, so it is hard to say what is right for any one person. Obviously genital and nipple piercings are not appropriate for minors, but short of that--if you're an adult it feels good (or right), do it!
I'm pushing 50, but I still wear mini skirts and show off my tattoos, because that feels right to me. : )

Hi my partner and I are both
Posted on April 22, 2009, 1:03 pmHi my partner and I are both in our 40's. He got his first piercing 5 years ago (single nipple). Often discussed getting my done and last november I had my nipples done. Can't think why I waited so long
I absolutely love them, also had my navel pierced and next will be hood (working my way down
). Partner has had his other nipple done and a pa (he also wants more). Don't see why the youngsters should have all the fun!!!!

My wife had her nipples
Posted on April 22, 2009, 8:51 pmMy wife had her nipples pierced when she was 68. I had my apadravya done when I was 65 and my nipples done when I was 66. I had a frenum ladder done after I turned 68. I guess that piercing is not only for the young. When I was pushing 50 getting pierced did not enter my mind.

Up until age 44, I had six
Posted on July 10, 2009, 5:10 pmUp until age 44, I had six lobe piercings. I'm now 45, and I have a total of 16 holes in my ears and my navel is pierced. A new hole is coming in December when my oldest son finally gets to come home for a few days from the Army. We're going to the Tattoo/Piercing studio together and he's going to get another tat and I'm going to get another hole. We call it our mom & son bonding time- tats, holes and dinner on the town- we make an evening out of it. When we get home, my daughter, younger son and husband all want to know if I got a new hole or just some new jewelry. Sometimes I tell, sometimes I don't!

I just got my first
Posted on July 11, 2009, 4:45 amI just got my first piercings in April as you can see in my signature. I was (still am) 48, and even a year or 2 ago, this did not even enter my mind. Like Poohah, I was thinking, "What am I doing? I'm not the type of girl to get genital piercings." But then that's part of the fun of it, with no facial piercings, no big stretched earlobes, people would never guess I have pierced genitals.
I never would have guessed the number of "over 30s" I would find until I came here to this site.So you really CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
And speaking of signatures, KC, I see you got your "Army Mom" in there. I love it.

I also have 2 boys one is 20 and the other is 26. I was kinda shocked when they freaked out over me getting my nipples pierced. LMAO my youngest called me Chewbacca, with nipple rings. You should of seen there faces when they found out about 3 months later that I had gone back and had a PA done, OMG!! You would of thought the world was coming to an end. They have accepted the fact that the ol man is pierced but they don't want to here about a ring change or going for a 4g to a 2g its just "dad's got his nipples pierced! Or lmao yeah my dad's got his

Throw me on the pile 48. I
Posted on July 14, 2009, 12:58 pmThrow me on the pile 48. I started with tattoos 15 years ago and it hasn't stopped (has slowed down). Then I have always wanted a PA but for what ever reason and regreatble as it is I waited until last year to get the PA. I tried a frenum and a lorum and even a guiche. The PA is my friend and the others I have taken out. But and I mean Butt I will have the guiche again.I will be more patient this time. Ok rambling now.
It's the new MID Life Crisis. I hope my wife has one soon !

I'm 45 and didn't get my
Posted on July 15, 2009, 6:25 amI'm 45 and didn't get my first tattoo until about 3 years ago.
And, I got my first piercing less than a year ago.
I want to get many more tattoos (actually, a few really large ones) and piercings.
I want full sleeves, and more on my back. I even want some on legs, too. I guess, I'd end up with a full suit eventually.
I had to take out one nipple piercing, but I'm getting that one back as soon as I can.
My left ear is at an 8g, and I want to get my right ear done to match.
I want a PA (hopefully up to 0g, or 00g).
I want a frenum (not sure how large).
I scrotal piercings (a few 2g, at least, CBR's down the seam).
I want a couple Hafadas (0g, hopefully).
That's a lot of junk jewelry for the small package I have, but I'd like to try and punch several holes in what I've got.

This is great! I just turned
Posted on October 7, 2009, 2:00 pmThis is great! I just turned 36 and celebrated with the first 3 bars of a frenum ladder. I have been getting inked and pierced since I was 17 and I have no plans on stopping now. I still have lots of time left to poke and color as much as I wish lol.

Great for the more mature
Posted on October 7, 2009, 2:57 pmGreat for the more mature folks. I like to say dirty old men need love too. I'm now 53 and got a PA sometime in my mid 40's. I can't even say exactly when. Shortly there after I added the RPA which combined gives me an APA. I guess you could say I found new youth in my middle age with piercings.

Posted on October 7, 2009, 9:42 pmAdd me for sure !!! I got my 1st piercing ever a year ago at age 46,what a rush and truly found a part of me that I all ways new was there but never was brave enough to let him out.Since then I have added 5 more PDB's and want more in the future,I have a addictive soul... lol...Also would like to get some ink when the right one comes along...I'm not too impulsive and want it to be a important part of me.... so will take my time.It was a pleasure to pierce a very special friend of mine, who was majorly responsible for me finding a little more of me through piercing(you know who you are,and are embedded in my heart forever)
I can't believe I was missing out all these years, but what the hell... better late than never!!!! silver

It is so wonderful to see
Posted on October 23, 2009, 3:21 pmIt is so wonderful to see all of you getting to enjoy piercings a little later in life. There's no right age (except over 18 for nipple and genital piercing).
Live it up!
