My goodness Queen!! Have you
Posted on October 26, 2009, 3:21 pmMy goodness Queen!! Have you changed majors along the way? What you are describing is a large load even without trying to work too. Best wishes! There IS a light at the end of the tunnel!

Thanks didit! I'll tell you
Posted on October 26, 2009, 3:25 pmThanks didit! I'll tell you exactly what I have done. I partied my first 2 years, had to take a year off, then went part time and worked full time, then transferred to a private college that won't accept many of the credits that I did actually earn... that pretty much sums up why it's taken me so long, and why I have so much left. At least I have a projected graduation date now, which I've never had before. It just sucks that I went to college right after graduating high school and I still won't graduate with a bachelors until I'm 26.
But I will finish!!! haha! I think..

Stick to it, it will go by
Posted on October 26, 2009, 3:36 pmStick to it, it will go by fast enough and you will have a direction in your life. it's all worth it. nothing in life comes easy and going through the challenge will only stregthen you. Sucks for now but in a few years you will turn around and have big grin on your face because you did it and no one else. Rember life is like a roll of toilet paper the closer to the end the faster it goes and that has nothing to do with any thing at this point. It not about the journey its about the destination. Stay focused You Can Do It.

I've seen people take longer
Posted on October 26, 2009, 3:39 pmI've seen people take longer than that, so you'll be OK, although I can understand how anxious you must be to get out of school. Just don't kill yourself in the process with such a demanding schedule, you know? At least make a little time for sleep...and to visit us here on the Tribe.

Best of luck Queen!!!
Posted on October 26, 2009, 3:41 pmBest of luck Queen!!! Having a finish date will help you get through the 16 hour semesters. Can you take summer courses to ease your work load? Hang in there!

Thanks you guys, it really
Posted on October 26, 2009, 3:45 pmThanks you guys, it really helps to hear/read your encouraging words! Sadly, scnphotos they do not offer the courses I need in the summer time. I go to a fairly small college and the oldest private school in the south, to be exact! (Well i thought it was neat...

It's good to vent so no
Posted on October 26, 2009, 6:04 pmIt's good to vent so no apologies are needed.
I have faith in you. Everyone is tested in this life.to see how strong they are ,and I believe you are one of those who will succeed by working hard. You never know where life may lead you. I am very proud of you for working as hard as you do. That is an awesome trait that our generation seems to show no appreciation for,but I am one to admire admire this trait.
I know you have a very intelligent mind so take on the challenge babe! You are worth it!

No Queen, That is not
Posted on October 26, 2009, 7:03 pmNo Queen,
That is not whining, trust me, I have a 20 year old who has just recently gotten over whining. No apology needed for this. I think anyone would be frustrated and anxious over a schedule like this.
You know, from your perspective, it seems like its taking so long, and you'll be so old when you graduate, but from my perspective (age 48), looking back, you still have a lot of time left after 26, in which to ... establish your career ... get married ... have kids ... whatever you want ... lots of time. When you get where I am, you look back and think "Why was I in such a rush back then?"
And, Queen, if you don't mind me asking, what do you plan to do all this literature? You gonna be a writer? Teacher?

Aww thank you Dixon! So
Posted on October 26, 2009, 9:11 pmAww thank you Dixon! So sweet!
And Joann, you're right. I shouldn't be in such a hurry because I mean really, what's the point? I guess I'm just tired at this point. As for the future, I kinda have a few different plans, depending on which ones want to work, haha! I plan on going into the Peace Corps after I graduate, that is if i'm accepted. I'm minoring in Latin American Studies so I'd like to go to either central or South America to teach English. Then once my two years are up I plan on coming back and getting my masters and hopefully to start teaching, but I really want to get TESOL certified so I can teach English to non-native speakers here in the states. And ALSO I would love to write on the side! Lots of plans but we'll just have to see which ones play out. If Peace Corps falls through I'll probably head straight for the masters.

LOL, You sound just like a
Posted on October 27, 2009, 2:31 pmLOL, You sound just like a gf of mine. She partied it up the first few years, took time off to travel(lived in India-so jealous), and then went back to school and eventually got her masters. It took a long time, but she did it and has a job now that she loves. I have seen too many kids waste their college years(partying, can't settle on a degree), so I applaud you for not giving up. Just don't overdo it and make the time to take care of yourself(pamper yourself girl!!). I have a feeling that you are a strong woman and can handle whatever you are given. Just take the time to enjoy the journey.

Quote:(from Never)maybe it
Posted on November 16, 2009, 1:29 amWell Queen, I think an inner labia or 2 would be good in this situation. They are among the less painful piercings, are pretty quick healing and usually problem free. After all, you don't want a piercing prone to migration, or some other thing that adds stress to your life, or it kind of defeats the purpose.
