What happened to my piercings ?

Some of you might have recognized that I have retired some of my piercings.
I just want to give you some explanations about the "why".

The Hafada/Lorum piercing was retired due to two reasons:
Firstly I had used too less skin, so I was worried that it might migrate out and leave a scar.
And secondly I did not find it comfortable. When being naked it was nice, but as soon as I had my pants on I did not enjoy it as I would have expected it.

The PA piercing was retired due to several reasons:
It interfered too much with my Frenum piercing - and I definitely want to keep that one.
It did not feel as comfortable as I thought - when wearing pants the ring is bend aside (this is possibly why PAs stretch by themselves), and that did not feel very good. I was thinking about using a curved Barbell instead, but I just like rings.
I also did not like the side effects of a PA:
- it sprays, you cannot stand any more when peeing or you mess up your trousers and everything around the toilet
- you cannot clean it permanently afterwards, there is always leftovers of urine on the jewelry that starts stinking and is a danger of getting infections
- in general I was thinking about avoiding piercings that damage internal and important parts (the urethra), all other piercings that just go through flesh are fine
- recently I started sounding, but with a PA this is not possible either (as long as you want to use larger tools and not something small that fits in while the PA is in as well).

Instead of the two retired piercings I got a second Frenum piercing directly next to the glans (see the pictures in my gallery). I think this will not interfere too much with the first Frenum piercing. And I like the feeling of Frenum piercings, they go through a very sensible area.

Great blog michael. I think it's important to point out both the pros and cons for piercings. I realize that it is different for everybody, but to know why it didn;t work out can help the rest of us(even though you and I have different equipment,lol). So, I'm wishing you much luck on your journey and applaud you for trying new pokes!!

There are many comments from guys that love their PA, and its great that they do, but like Luna says, its good for guys considering it to hear both sides. Same with the hafada, they are great for a lot of guys, but not everyone.

I also removed my 2 outer labia piercings after 3 months, since they just weren't healing, it was a hard choice for me for days and days. Should I take them out? Should I give them 1 more week? Should I try one more different type of jewelry? And I did miss them, and thought my girl parts looked naked with just the 2 remaining ones, so when I went to get my nipple done, I got 2 more inner labia, and they are doing fabulously. I hope your new frenum does as well.

Great info Michael !! Nice to read about all the variables that come with piercings....and its great to hear them.I retired my frenum because it was too narrow and It did not give me the pleasure as my pa does and was not comfortable for me...I may give it another try down the road but for now i love my pa ! As for my hafadas they are strictly for looks and for me...I love them as well and when I can restrain from swimming i will for sure ad some more to my sac.Love the jingling noise as well as the looks and feel.
By the way your frenums look great man!! and so glad you are enjoying them !! Eye-wink

And here the story continues:
I retired the second frenum piercing again. My first frenum piercing is so extreme that it interferes with everything too close.

But today I started again with the Hafada - this time (for the first time) I went to a piercing studio to get it done properly. Yesterday I had asked for a date to get one ring, but today I decided to start with a ladder immediately.
It was a very smooth session and done very professional.

Following these rings are healed and if I enjoy them this time I will definitely get some more.

Great info Michael. Thanks for taking the time and consideration of sharing this with us. I have wondered about the very same thing you just describe for me and now I don't have to wonder. I am with you on the PA. I like the look, but peeing standing up is much more important to me. I like to pee outside! LOL. It would make peeing in the woods a little more difficult. I am looking to add to my frenum collection soon. Thanks again!

Willy and Michael,I love my pa and my hafadas.And I stand to pee weather outside of inside without any spraying,which is cool..but everyone is different.For me my pa is my favorite,and never had any issues with dirty jewelry or smelling..hmmmm

Michael, this is so cool that you have gotten some happy new piercings after losing one. Congrats. uSmile2

I know I retired 2 in July, and from July to Sept my girl parts felt naked with only the 2 remaining ones, and when I got the 2 new ones in Sept, I felt much more "right." I'm glad you got your new ones, and I hope your bits feel more "right." And I truly hope these new ones heal well, and turn out to be "keepers" for you.

I stared my Hafada ladder with threee rings (you can see the pictures in my personal gallery). But I am already considering of getting three more - the ladder just looks too short.

And here is another addition:
Addiction seems to be stronger than reasoning - I re-pierced my PA again three days ago. I am currently at 8ga but I am planning on going larger. Lets see how long I keep the PA this time.
The Hafada ladder is healing very well. This time I really enjoy the rings, and when moving naked you can hear a very soft tingle Eye-wink

I hear ya on the addiction. Are you worried about having so many piercings done so close together(timewise)? And, I think I read that you said you were going to a smaller gauge in your frenum? I really do hope the pa works for you. It is a very nice addition to all of your metal.
