On a very cold day of January 30th, I walked in to a shop called " Ink Spot" in Ottawa with my friend Reedtard ( Also a user on Tribalectic.com ) with the intention of walking out with a little more.. "bling". Me and Reed had decided, that he would be going first for his frenum piercing, and then I would go in for my Vertical Clitoral hood. Soon after Reed got his done,it was my turn.
We waited a few minutes as the piercer Chris was cleaning the room and the instruments and getting ready for round 2. It was my turn to drop down the pants and "Man-Up". I was gigglying out of nervousness and my friend wasn't helping by kind of stressing me out with his questionnings, but Chris managed to keep me focus on the task at hand. Mind you I've never had any other piercings other then my ears, and have found those to be pretty painless. Chris neatly positioned the famous reference dot to show me where it would be, and was explaining to me what he was doing. I found it was not comfortable to have the receiving tube placed under the hood but it was tolerable. To be honest the piercing itself was a sharp pain but it ended almost immediately. I found what was most painful was him inserting the actual curved barbell in the new hole. I got to look at it and it looked pretty damn sexy!
It felt a little bit awkward walking around at first, especially out in the very cold weather back to my car considering I had to park it a few streets away (got to love one way streets!) But everything went pretty smoothly.
I found it to be unpleasant to bend over too far for the first few days but it no longer seams to bother me since about day 4 with the piercing. I would probably avoid wearing very tight pants for the first few days as well. I've been doing at least 3 soakings with water and sea salt a day for minimum 3 minutes up to 5 (I kind of get distracted sometimes and spend 10 minutes or so) and make sure to push the barbell up and down a bit to clean it with the Q tip afterwards.
I find it to be a pretty pleasant piercing to have, so far it easily stimulates me and keeps me smiling all day. The healing process seams to be going pretty well and I would suggest it as a piercing. It looks very pretty even with the plain barbell kind of gives you that feeling of having a naughty little secret, which is as much fun as the piercing itself. Personally since I'm shy in person, it brings me a lot of pleasure to say I enjoy every minute of this piercing!
