Everything about the PA has always intrigued me and turned me on. It has been something I've considered for many years and always thought that one day I might get one. 5 days ago, I finally made that dream a reality. Like my first piercing (guiche) 11 years ago, I made the decision rather spontaneously, but after much consideration and thought. I woke up Wednesday morning and decided that it would be the day. I told my partner earlier in the day that I was going to get the piercing that evening and asked him to come along. The nearest legitimate piercing shop for the PA is about 90 minutes away at Infinite Body Piercing in Philadelphia. I had my guiche done there and felt comfortable returning.
I arrived, was greeted, discussed the piercing with Robert who was extremely helpful. I decided on a CBR and he offered a choice of a 10g or a 6g. He said that his clients actually have the most luck and an easier healing period with the 6g so I decided that would be the one. I was apprehensive at first, because it seemed large - much larger than I had originally had in my mind and I'm not really planning on stretching the piercing, unless it occurs naturally, and the 6g is already basically as thick as I would ever want to go but I trusted Robert's advice and was also willing to do whatever it took for an easier healing period. Robert set about preparing everything he needed and after about a ten minute wait, he called me back to the room.
11 years ago, I remember being extremely calm while I was getting the guiche piercing and I tried to return to that mindset. I wasn't really nervous at all, more excited and anxious for it to be finished so I could look at it. Robert discussed the after care with me, answered all of my questions and then told me to take my pants down and lay back on the table. He cleaned the area, marked the piercing, and showed me the marking to make sure I was comfortable with the placement, which I was. The receiving tube was slightly uncomfortable, and as he lined it up with the marking, he needed to adjust it to get it exactly where it needed to be. This aligning was nerve-wracking because I kept thinking the needle was going to come through and I wasn't prepared for it - so I was a little jittery at this. When Robert had the tube where it needed to be, he told me to take a deep breath and let it out and then he went through with the needle. The pain was sharp - and was a type of pain that I had never experienced before. For as quick as it came, it was as quick to leave - 3 seconds of pain, followed by another 30 seconds of discomfort - and then nothing. No pain. I was actually shocked at how soon the pain subsided. He slipped in the ring with a little pinch, cleaned me up with saline, wrapped it for me in gauze and a rubber glove and I was on my way. Through the 90-minute ride home, I had to keep reminding myself that I had been pierced because there was still absolutely no pain and Robert had not used any anesthetic whatsoever.
I went to bed that night with my penis wrapped in gauze and covered in a condom - this has been my mainstay for several days, especially with the bleeding. Initially after the piercing, I was not bleeding heavily, and when I got home, there was only a moderate amount of blood. The bleeding finally stopped only yesterday, and morning erections have been a little annoying. I'm still not in any pain, but finding the proper position in my underwear so that the piercing doesn't pinch has been an ongoing battle. I read someone's experience where they mentioned rolling up gauze and placing it in the middle of the ring to stop the ring from swaying too much - and this has been an amazing tip for finding comfort, especially at home and during sleep. Last night was the first night I slept without any gauze or condoms, but I did keep the gauze wrapped in the ring and every night of sleep has been comfortable.
On Day 2, urinating became a painful issue for me. The pressure of the stream on the fresh hole, combined with a urine that was too acidic made for an unpleasant experience. After that, I switched all of my liquids to water - no coffee, tea, or alcohol - and by today, I can finally urinate without any pain. My tip here is if you know you're getting the piercing done - switch to water at least a day in advance and stick to water-only for at least the first few days.
I am soaking in sea salt for 5-10 minutes twice a day and the whole area is looking great. Sore and tender, but looking really good. I love the look of this piercing and it is a huge turn-on to myself and my partner. I am really looking forward to being able to play with it, and most especially - to my next orgasm, which I have no idea when that will occur. I think this is the only cruel part about the whole experience - getting a piercing that turns you on to the point of pre-cumming constantly, but not being able to really have fun with it yet. Here's hoping for a speedy healing process!
