After looking up discussions online and considering it, I finally got a Prince Albert piercing three weeks ago. The process was very simple, had a discussion about the piercing, and because I am uncut, which side I would prefer the piercing been place. I got pierced at 12g, as they had unfortunately run out of the 10g jewellery. Then I simply had to strip, and jump on the padded chair. I got given a lollipop to distract me, and it actually worked.
It was somewhat uncomfortable when the piercing tube entered, but once alignment was done I was ready to go. I got told the dreaded "big breathe in and out", and bamm pierced. It was a strong pain, but only for a few seconds and then it subsided mostly. The insertion of the jewelry only took a few seconds.
The first two nights I bled quick alot, but I simply used panty pads to suck up the blood. It still made a bit of mess though, and I would suggest not sleeping in your best bed sheets. From the third day, the bleeding seemed to stop completely. Overall I never really felt any pain after, other than a slight sting when I pee'd the first few times.
I've had it for three weeks, and as a piercing I am loving it. I would have preferred to start at 10g, but otherwise im happy and it seems to be healing well.
However as you can see in the pic, sometimes it does not sit at the top of my "pee hole" and comes way further down. I usually encounter this issue overnight or when I am walking around alot. It makes the piercing feel very uncomfortable and I'm worried because there is obviously only a small amount of flesh between the piercing then, and I'd hate to damage it while healing.
I guess Im curious for some advice on this. If I work up to a bigger gauge or change to a captive ring would it assist with keeping the piercing staying up?
Would I be better off converting it to a Apadravya?
