since i am here i obviously love body piercings and such. i wanted my septum pierced for a while. there was something primal about that really appealed to me. i went to my favorite shop and they said that the only person who did septums had left a half an hour ago. i was already pumped to get it right then. so my friend and i went to another shop that i have been pierced at a few times before. still excellent just a tad pricier. they could do it right then. so i paid and went back to the room once it was ready.
i wanted my septum peirced for about half a year, hated the look of it at first but it grew on me. i was only 15 at the time so it took alot of persuasion but luckily my dads alright with things like this so came with me to sign the form. i chose the jewellery and got taken to the room, was told to lie down and got marked up. the peircer cleaned the area and numbed it. she then told me to breathe in and peirced through, then told me to breathe in again so she could slide the jewellery through. it went by very quickly and only nipped slightly so i was very surprised.
Yesterday, April 24, I got my Septum pierced by Nadine at Big Bills in Kalispell, MT. The piercing went really smoothly, and honestly, the clamps were the worst part. I barely felt the needle at all. I read alot of the experiences on here that said the piercing really hurt, but honestly I think getting my ear cartilage hurt much more than this piercing did. If your thinking about doing it, go for it, you won't regret it at all. Mine is absolutely perfect, no swelling, no bleeding, No bruising, and it doesn't hurt at all.
I was very afraid of getting a piercing. HA!
I just recently got my septum pierced on january 28th. It looks awsome!
i'm 14 and i've had my septum pierced for over a month and i'm not goin to bore you with the long story. i'll get right to the point.well..yes it hurt like a bitch. i have a pretty high pain tolerance and it still was pretty painful. but i'm also gunna say that now that i have it i love it.. and i would do it a million times more if i had to..the healing process was also extremely painful and i considered taking it out and lettin it close many times but i'm SOO glad i didnt. if you're thinkin about gettin this dont hesitate cuz the pain is WELL worth it.
Ok first thing to know about my peircing is I dont do piercing shops. Too expensive. Second of all I didnt use a piercing needle. I spent about half an hour jamming a sewing needle through my nose it took so long because halfway through I sneezed.(very painful with a needle through your nose)eventually I got it through. I left the rather large needle in for 2 whole days before I removed it (ow) and spent a good 20 minutes in agonizing pain trying to put a ring in.
Hay, Well.. I am 15 years old and I just got my septum pierced 2 days ago. I was soooo nervous. I had been doing a lot of research on the piercing and all the expierences I read said it was a very painful piercing, so I was pretty freaked out but I wanted it really bad!!
I've thought about getting this piercing for a while, and especially considered it once figuring out how easy it is to hide for work.So three days ago, I went in, a little nervous, and it was fine.I'd say what hurt the most was when he was putting the clamp on my nose. I swore a bit, eyes watered a bit, but it was worth it, and it looks so good; I love it. I definitely recommend it..it's really not all that painful, and afterwards, it doesn't hurt at all. I'm very happy with it!
Although I've had a number of facial piercings done, I've heard an array of different reactions to the septum piercing (ranging from "it was just a pinch," to "I heard the needle ripping through each layer of cartilage," etc.), and I was pretty nervous. It turned out to be the least painful piercing ive experienced. I chose a 16 gauge retainer. It was quick, easy, my eyes didn't water at all, and ten hours later, the pain is virtually non-existant. Anyone who has experienced a painful septum piercing did not have an experienced piercer.
