I was so nervous about getting my septum done after "horror stories" i heard about how bad it hurt, but I was pleasantly suprised the anticipation was a lot worse. This was my 8th piercing and I love it!! its so cute
This was a very simple piercing. It was very quick, and it healed up within a matter of a few days. I suggest this piercing to anybody who is curious about it, as it is really easy and quick. Before you know it, its over.Cool jewellery can be work in it, and it can even be incorporated into kinky play...small chain can be put through the ring!
ever since i was about 12 i have LOVED septum piercings. everytime i would see someone with one i would just admire it. finally at age 16 i decided i would go ahead and have my best friend pro piercier go ahead and pierce me.he set everything up and put the clamps on (my eyes started tearing then) and then he told me to breathe slow and deep and he slid the 14g needle right on through. i had to ask everyone if it was through. the anticipated pain was alot worse.i have strict parents so i just push the ring up in my nose and its out of sight.
Never Say NeverOne of the piercings which I NEVER thought I'd get was a septum piercing. At first, I didn't like the "bullring" look of them at all; after a while, though, the look grew on me. However, as a woman of a "certain age" I thought that a septum piercing would look fairly ridiculous on my face. What changed my mind?
This was THE MOST intense piercing I have ever had. During the procedure, I even felt tears rolling down my face, and there was a very, very strong shooting pain reverberating up and down my nose and nasal passages. I would not, to be honest, do it again - it was one helluvan experience, and I love the piercing to death, but not one that i'd do again for love nor money
okay, anyone that says a septum piercing doesn't hurt has to have serious issues. i've always been one to have a really high pain tolerance, but oh-my-god. that was by far the most painfull thing i've ever felt. i've never screamed the word "F**K" so many times in my life. but if you're considering doing it, do it. it looks freaking awesome and is so worth the pain!! =)
My friend, Mandy and I decided we were gunna get pierced as early birthday prezzies. We heard that Creative Body Art Clinic had a deal, 2 piercings (on the same person) for S55. I headed over to Mandy's at 1pm, when I got there Mandy's friend Tara drove us around (she knows the people that own Creative Body) we went to the mall and then to Creative Body. We got there, said what we wanted (me: septum and conch, Mandy: Navel and tongue) and filled out the sheets. I went first. i sat up on the table and she cleaned and froze my septum.
i had my septum pierced a year ago in lubbock texas at big buddha. i had been contemplating having my tongue or lower lip pierced but worked then as a telemarketer and decided i might not be able to talk with a fat lip so decided on my septum. i was nervous but the girl that did it (alex) was awesome. she put her fingers up my nose, then toothpicks.... it made my nips hard. the clamps made my eyes water but i told her to "just do it" so she shoved the needle through. it didnt hurt. i got a slight ache after an hour but asprin took care of it.
Fun, fun. I got this piercing done almost a year ago [April 7th, '04]. The thing is, I wasn't planning on getting it. My friend and I were waiting for a few friends and decided to take a walk in the East Village [in NY]. Anywho, we stopped by Ian's [on St. Mark's], where I got my other piercings done. I happened to have enough money to get a piercing, so I decided to get my septum done. And now, I'm not going to lie. It did hurt. Made my eyes water, in fact. [no, I wasn't crying] After I got it done, it felt a bit crusty.
This was my 12th piercing. I decided I'd write down my experience while the experience is still fresh in my mind. I honestly think the people who write any piercings stories and says that they felt nothing, I think they are in delusional land, or they write their experience so long after they forget the experience. Like I said I have 12 piercings. I have 7 in my ears, then I got my nose, eyebrow, tongue, labret, and now my septum. My septum has to have been the worst for actual piercing pain, but one of the least painful for after/healing pain.
