I got a new job and had to take out my nose ring and it broke my heart, so I wanted to get something new.- For my birthday present to myself, I decided on a whim to get my nipples done, after wanting them for four years.
I walked in, signed forms and picked out the jewelry I wanted (purple bars with purple diamonds, because yeah), then sat down and waited for them to come get me. Jared, my piercer, told me that he and another piercer would do them both at the same time, simultaneously. After waiting for about 20 minutes, they called me back.
They didn't use clamps at all.
Well, I'm 24 years old and have been looking into getting my nips peirced since I was mayyyybe 14 years old. Lol. (I've always been open minded) anywho. Today I went in to FINALLY get them. I bit the bullet said FTW and hit up my piercer. He's awesome, and I've loved his work for about 3 years now. EVERYONE said it was going to hurt and that I wouldn't pull through with the second one because the 1st one just hurts that bad. I either have an extremely high pain tolerance or I'm just not as chicken as everyone else. I didn't even FLINCH! But than again everyone is different.
I got my left nipple pierced around four months ago after I had been thinking about it for a while. I thought it would be really awkward because of where it is. Thankfully, it wasn't. The guy that did the piercing was lovely and I've recommended him to all my friends. He didn't use a clamp or any freezing spray so it was just him, me and a needle.
I'm not going to lie, it hurt a little bit. The pain is hard to explain but it was quite dull and uncomfortable when the needle was going in, but it only lasted a few seconds.
OK I went to a shop that my husband and I have used before . and are very familiar with our piercer. It was a total spur of the moment decision. Over dinner one night he was like I dare u to get or nipples pierced. ( I asked for his eyebrow to be pierced previously which he had done, so piercings turned into a game) so I was like OK!!!!
No pain what so ever. Clamps went on. Needle went through. Jewelry was put in . didn't flinch.
I'd wanted my nipples pierced for some time, but hadn't raised it with hubs as he isn't a piercing kind of guy.
I found reading other folks experiences helpful so here is mine.
I had my right nipple pierced around fifteen years ago. This was carried out with a numbing spray using a pretty small 18K gold ring. From what I recall it hurt pretty badly but healed very well using the aftercare advice given back then. I removed my shiny ring as I was pregnant and wanted to breastfeed my baby girl. At the time it was easier to let it close.
Things of course have changed a lot since then!
Well after years of wanting to pierce the twinz(aka boobiez)I finally did it n let me tell u that I felt every single movement of the needle going thru my poor lil nip ...it was not painless or a over in a pinch especially because my guy piercer did them without the clamp thingy cuz he said that they would be crooked/uneven. After that I went home n looked at them n all I could see waz a bloodly dried up mess. They didnt hurt they were just swollen but for sum reason when I went to take my bra off to shower I swear I almost fainted.
so I have had my nipples pierced like twice before and ended up taking them out for different reasons. They didn't get infected and had healed well. The difference is that I was less knowledgeable about gauges and the best jewelry to use.. The second time especially I was impatient during the healing process and attempted to change my piercing after 4 months with the wrong gauge ring and had no knowledge on how to insert it.
I regretted taking them out so I decided to do it again.
I went with my best friend to Infamous Tattoos (here in Atlanta). A guy named Animal that had been piercing for about 14 years was who we chose. He pierced my nipples so fast and painless that I was talking when it was going on and did not know they were pierced until he actually put the rings in. That was in March. It is now August. While it does take nine months for them to heal, mine seem to be on the road to recovery pretty well. The only issue is that sometimes they catch. You have to be extremely careful with simple things such as seat belts.
Finally broke down and got my left nipple pierced, and the only think I can say now is damn it why didn't I do this sooner and get the other one too!
My overall experience was great, I did my research and went to a piercer I trusted and knew . honestly my belly button hurt worse the second time and now the only "pain" I have is a slight tingling sensation...which I'm kind of a fan of
dont let the thought of pain hold you back, because im kicking myself for fearing the pain and not getting both at the same time!
I've always liked my little boobies but now I freaking adore them!
