This was my first non-lobe piercing, professionally done. I wanted to get something different, so I was going for ither the daith or rook. I heard the rook hurt a lott from some and that it didn't hurt from others. When he pierced it you could hear the needle go through the cartiledge which was kind of funny. I thought it hurt more when he put the 16guage ring through more then the needle going through. Just when you think its done it isn't..I can't remember specific things because its been about a year or so.
i got my rook pierced a week ago n i'm loving every bit of it. if u're here reading bout ppl's experiences to "prepare" urself;; then i say get the
off the computer n go get it pierced. =]//look thru some pics n decide whether u realli want it. n get it over with!
ive left one of these befor and it was right after i got my rook pierced... well.. i got it pierced by my dads piercer up in NY.the piercer used a cork. which i dont reccomend you going to a peircer that uses ne thing but a recieving tube. I have my rook, a conch/cartilage orbital, and my snug pierced, my rook was the only one pierced with a cork and its the only one that hurt.i recommend this peircing to ALL... its beautiful and not a hassel during the healing!!!
This was definatly a fun peircing. I went to Threshold in St.Charles, MO to have my rook peirced. Jake my peircer was AWESOME he also did my belly button. No clamps, very little pain. I gotta say it hurt worse than my belly button (which didn't hurt at all). I felt this one go through. It did bleed a little for about 10 seconds maybe. Honestly the worst part was him cleaning up the blood off around the hole. That hurt.. made me gasp, but he talked me through it and I was fine. It is really sore to touch but as long as I'm not touching it I don't feel I(got it yesterday).
I got my rook piercing in August of last year, I believe. It was only S25. I have to say, the clamp was the only part that was kinda painful, but nothing too bad. There was no bleeding, and it healed in no time. I was so nervous though, and that made me squirmish. But once it was done, it was really nothing. I don't see how anyone else's bled. The lady that did mine couldn't push the needle through all the way, but that really didn't make it any worse. It hurt my mom worse than it hurt me.
ok to all those people who are reading all of these to see if they should get it done, seriously do it. I just got mine done yesterday and i literally read all of these to try and calm me down about getting this, but they freakin scared my shitless saying its the worst piercing or it hurts like a bitch. trust me, it didn't hurt at all!!!
Got my rook pierced a week ago yesterday at the Underworld in New Britain, CT. I absolutely love it!
This one hurt like hell! It bleed all over the place! It took a while to heal tho!
I had my rook pierced for the first time years ago. I had to take it out and put clear wire through for a dance competition, when I went to my piercer to get the ring put back in it was infected and he had to drain it with a syringe. I went back about a year later and got it done again. It was painful right away and within a day it was swollen and red. I went back to my piercer and he broke the ring and it was very infected. I went to the doctor, emergency room, etc., many times during the next month.
I got my rook pierced maybe five or six weeks ago. I won't lie, it does hurt, but only for a little bit. Nothing excritiating. If u are thinking about doing it, go for it!! It is so diifferent and cute-I love mine!
