I have never thought about getting my tongue pierced ever...at first I wanted a surface piercing on my wrist but they didn't do that, so I went home and thought about what I am gonna do, so then I thought about a tongue piercing and wasn't sure if I should get something like that pierced cuz I have heard a lot about a tongue piercing that wasn't so good...I was afraid they might hit the veins and my face would go numb, stuff like that...the next day I said heck with it and I decided to go get my tongue pierced...nervous as can be got it done
, now it has been 3 days and everything is still
I got my tongue pierced going on almost three years ago and I had it for two years. The piercing itself was nothing really, but of course the healing process was death. I think for me it was so bad because the fool that did it had a bar that was too short for my tongue and had to re-sterilize ANOTHER
barbell, so I am thinking that when he redid it he actually put another hole in my tongue.
Ugh, dummy. So my healing process was rough, but it only lasted like 5 days, the pain that is... But um, I loved it...
I was initially going to get my lip pierced, but after talking to some people (mostly guys), I was convinced to get my tongue pierced instead. I discussed this with some of my friends and a week after my 19th birthday, 5 of us went in to get our tongues pierced (4 girls and 1 guy). Only 1 of us had gotten tattooed/pierced by this guy before, but I had never heard any complaints about him and his studio was clean and well lit, so I wasn’t too worried.
I got my tongue pierced on April 10th 2K9. It did not hurt at all. I went to mytattooshop in florida and the piercer wuz the best. He prep me with a mouthwash of listerine for 30 seconds. I spit it out n he put the piercing tonggs on and aplly pressure w/ the tongs using rubber bands which numbed my tongue then......he pierced it. It felt like a 5 second pinch, like receiving a shot but a lil less pain. It was an aswum experience and I knt wait 2 gt my spiderbites done and possibly a VCH
Got my tongue pierced 9 years ago I was about 14 at Silverspur Townsville, never had any problems with it and it did not hurt at all I had to ask if it was in yet, so easy to look after and it never gets in the way, I usually forget it's there unless I start talking about it.
I finally got my tongue pierced a few months ago, after trying since I was 16! Firstly when I was 16, I went to a shop, and they looked at my tongue, started getting stuff ready, then decided I had to be 18, or have my parents consent 'incase anything goes wrong' I rang my mum to get her to say it was ok, but she said no.
2nd try - when I was 18, went to a different shop. They looked at my tongue, and said they couldn't do it - my tongue was 'unpiercable'.
Well I finally got my tongue pierced 4 days ago and so far so good. I have wanted it done for a long time now and finally got it done. I went to a shop in a town not far from mine, which I heard was a good place. The place was clean and I was impressed with how experienced their piercer was. I sat down filled out some paper work and then was taken back to a room that was set up for piercing. I rinsed my mouth out with listerine, the lady put some numbing stuff on the top and bottom of my tongue, marked my tongue, clamped my tongue, and finally pierced it.
I moved to a new town and had to find a new piercer. I chose to get my tongue pierced at this new place. Everything looked good, reasonable prices, friendly staff, produced spore tests for their autoclave equipment... I felt very comfortable.
The piercer haded me a paper towel and basically told me if I started to drool a little (lol) not to close my mouth. Just let it go. I thought that was a little awkward, but as it turns out I did start drooling a little. It was gross.
It was a slightly painful piercing.
got it done at dougs tattoo in oakland california about 2 years ago. pain was bearable.some pressure, little bit of blood. not too bad. fun and easy piercing. healing takes about 2 weeks, expect swelling and difficulty speaking and eating. i recommend getting it done.
