My tongue web piercing is my first (and only) piercing done by a professional piercing artist. She told me that she hadnt done it on anybody before, but she was willing to give it a try. I got a discount for being her guinea pig. I probably just had to pay half the original price! It didnt hurt at all. What "hurt" the most was the swelling afterwards, which didnt really hurt, it was just a little uncomfortable. Now, one year after, the piercing is still there. I havent had ANY problems with it at all. And I have got the jewelery changed once since I got it.
So I got my web done about a week ago by my usual guy. I was pretty nervous cos I don't really have many other piercings and I don't have a very high pain tolerancy. I chose to go for a barbell because I'd heard they were way more comfortable when you first get them. Anyway, the actual piercing was pretty much painless (the clamp was a little uncomfortable) and then he put the bar through.
I got my web pierced about four days ago. It was relatively quick and painless. All I really felt was a little pinch, and at most, two on a pain scale of ten. I have a 16 gauge curved barbell in. It is healing quite well. At first it did feel a bit awkward to have in my mouth but, I'm getting more and more use to it. I would like to mention though, the most difficult part about this piercing for me is eating. I have a hard time figuring out what is food and what is the piercing when chewing with my mouth full, I also get a bit paranoid about the screws falling out.
so i'm on a little piercing kick right now, but i can't really get many visible piercings because of my career. i decided to go with a tongue web piercing because i like the look of them and the fact that they're hidden. i went to my usual piercer and the procedure itself was definitely the quickest ever. i just had to rinse my mouth out with some mouthwash and then he pierced it. it barely hurt and was comparable to a regular tongue piercing. the part that took the longest was getting the jewelry in as it is a tight space for fingers. it's a tiny bit sore right now, but it looks awesome!
i've wanted my tongue web pierced for a long time, but was always scared it would hurt or bleed a lot or that the needle would be pretty big..
after reading the experiences on here, i finally got my web pierced this morning
it was pretty much painless, all i felt was a bit of pushing and pulling when he was putting the ring in..
getting the ball to go on was awkward as i have a small mouth and the piercer couldnt get his hands in properly..
After looking at pictures and reading experiences on tongue web piercings, I finally went in and got it! I had read that many piercers use clamps, so I was nervous, but my piercer, Bill, told me they didn't use clamps. I became much more relaxed after hearing this. He explained the process of placing the receiving tube, etc., and at this point I was just worried about the pain I might have. He lined everything up and in a half second the needle was through. There was no pain! I barely even felt the needle. It felt like my web had been poked by someone's finger.
So I had my tongue web done about a year and three months ago. It was my favorite piercing! It was fairly painful while getting it done, just the needle, and it took a few for my piercer to get the ball on, but then it was bliss! Loved it so much. It took about a week to a week in a half. It was pierced with a captive ring and I really do think a barbell would of been a better choice for healing. Whenever i had a cold or anything it would get painful and if there was any plaque build up, it was painful.
i just started thinking about getting a toungue web piercing and i knew i wouldnt be allowed to get it done so one day after school i got online, did some research and got evrything i needed (all i really needed was the safety pin when i went into the bathroom) and i looked in the mirror and tried sticking it through...at first it wouldnt go through and i just realized how stretchy your toungue web is btw...but anyway, i finally got it through and IT DID NOT HURT AT ALL. i was so surprised.
so ive been wanting this piercing forever n today i finally did it. getting it pierced was virtually painless. just the clamps were uncomfortable. its about 8 hours later right now and it is pretty sore. i havent been able to eat all day cuz it hurts. im just stickin with drikin fraps from starbucks since i cant eat. lol but i definitley highly reccommend getting this piercing. it is unique and so cute
i have my tongue web pierced twice, both are self done [i am in no way suggesting nor promoting the idea/act of self piercing]i love playing with them, and they make kissing more interesting ;)haha
