I got my labret done about two weeks ago and I absolutely love it! And it only hurt when the needle went through but it was completely tolerable. It swelled a little for a the first couple days and at first I had to chew carefully so as not to bite down on it and I smoke so I was worried about infection but I'm religious about cleaning it so it's all good.
I had been throwing around the idea of getting a labret piercing. I already had several other piercings but the labret frightened me. I called around and found a place in Cincinnati. I was very impressed with the shop. It was very clean and very professional. My piercer, Cannon, was very informative and funny. He made me feel very relaxed. He explained the procedure very thoroughly. Cannon talked to me about placement and made the mark. He applied the clamps and told me to breath and the needle was through. It stung a little when he put the jewelry in but nothing I couldn't handle.
Note: this is like 2 and a half months ago.
So ever since I had bad experiences with my ears (infection, skin growing over jewelry, etc.), I’ve wanted to get pierced again, but I always felt my earlobes would
up again.
My parents were not completely opposed to me getting a facial piercing, but since they were worried I would get hurt again, they forbade me to do it before I turned 18. But around 14 I decided I wanted a lip piercing.
I bugged them for years.
I've always loved how labrets looked and I finally decided that it was time for me to do it. I had it done on 11/14/08 by the same woman who did my nipples. I really like how Cindy does piercings and her really friendly attitude and super clean shop makes me feel comfortable. I have to say I wasn't nervous about getting this piercing as I thought I was going to be. She measured my lip and helped pick out a really nice blue sapphire crystal labret stud.
Thursday morning prolly around 5:00am after I pierced my friend Coli's monroe, I decided I wanted some snake bites.
Since I did all of my piercings so far I knew it wouldnt be a prob.
I did them easily and had my 18g rings in and so far they've been great, I think they are a little infected, but I've been gargling and cleaning them a couple times a day, I think it looks awesome with my other piercings <3
I was fkn exciteddddddd when I got done with them :]]
I had my labret pierced a few years ago at an awesome place called Purple Haze in Greenville, South Carolina. I was scared at first because I'd never had it done before, and knew it would probably hurt like hell. Well, I actually never even knew the needle went through until I saw it fall out of my lip. It was fast and 100% painless. The only thing I can warn against is making sure the post for any lip or labret piercing is long enough to compensate for the swelling that occurs afterward. And don't chew very fast at first, because you WILL bite down on the post, and that DOES hurt!
I had my labret peirced about 2 years ago. It was done very low and messed my gumline up severely and i have a nasty white bubble scar in my lower lip.. Any way.. i got it repierced on May 31, off to the left of my mouth, it was dont correctly.. I have to say, if you are in the Elizabethtown Kentucky area and you are looking to get ANYTHING pierced, Go see Kate at Big daddys. she has to be the best Piercer around, she has taken the time to tell me about any questions that i may have had, she took real good care of me.
hey every1! i was out one day and saw a girl with a labret piercing so i went home and went on the internet and decided i would attempt 2 do it myself so i bought a piercing kit it came in a few days as soon as i got it i ran upstairs and cleaned the area with soap and water, marked the place then i cleaned the bar and stood infront of the mirror and just pushed it though! il admit it took me a while and yeah it hurt a little bit but what do u expect bcoz i didnt freeze it! a few mins later i had the bar in and it looked great!

I pleased to announce....I got what I wanted!YAY!This past Christmas I decided to bug my parents into getting me a new piercing. In fact I've been bugging them for the past 4 years....and year after year...they say no (though that doesn't stop me much). So when christmas comes, they finally break down and say yes. .We decided to go with my sister doing the piercing. She's been a professional piercer for years so I got REALLY lucky there.
