I had my Monroe done yesterday. It wasn't a planned piercing but more of a spur of the moment. It didn't hurt at all when it was done. The problem I am having now is that my lip is all swollen and it almost covers my piercing entirely. I am cleaning it with dial hand soap three times a day and using sea salt soaks and compresses once a day as recommended by my piercer. I am a bit nervous about scarring since the piercing is almost completely covered by my skin. I still love it though.

So after watching WWE Monday Night Raw because of my boyfriend, I started to get interested in it myself. There was one Diva on Raw named Ashley Massaro that I thought was totally badass, so I went on WWE’s website and looked up some pics of her. After a couple of pics I noticed a sparkle sitting right above the top lip on the left side of her mouth. After staring at it for a couple minutes, I realized it was a piercing- a monroe piercing. To make a long story short, I fell in love with it.

I've only wanted a Monroe piercing since I had first discovered them about two years ago, and two years too young. I couldn't quite persuade my parents to go for the Monroe, but I could get them to go for my nose, which is what I got first.
I turned 18, and my time came. Nothing could stop me anymore; I had just gotten my tattoo, which my mother FLIPPED over, and this would be nothing compared to that.

i ordered a piercing kit off ebay and pierced it 3days ago.
with a 14g hollow needle and a 14g lip stud. it looked soooo good and it did not hurt at all it felt like when your iced nmb then put it over a hot fire for 4 seconds.
a day later it got infected tho because the ring supplied was too small so i had to put a curved belly button ring in it and it messes it up.
right now i have the origional ring back in it looks good and the infection is 95% gone!
id reccomend gettin it done pro tho because they have studs that are longer so they dont get infected.

I've been wanting an monroe piercing for along time. At 1st i didn't know if i should get on because my lips are kind of thick and probably would be very painful but then i found this website and read people personal experiences and decided to get it over with. I went to Skin Candy Tattoo, My mom and me had to sign some papers for me to get it done.

It started about a month before my 16th birthday when the thought of a monroe piercing hit me. I'm not the big piercing type seeing as this would be my first non ear piercing. i asked my mom and at first she was skeptical but i did ALOT of research, i read all the experiences i could handle, i read up on the pros and cos, and i even watched tons of videos of people getting theirs done, eventually my mom gave in and we decided to go the next day scene it was during summer and i wanted it to heal before school.

wow...it didnt hurt when i got it done...but within 3days,my lip begin to swell and oooz this yellow fluid...it didnt stop the process until about 3wks later...now it beautiful...

Well, I got my Monroe pierced about a month ago. I sat down, and my piercer, Bubba, got all of the stuff ready. When he had got all the stuff ready, he marked it and asked if that was a good spot, but i didnt like it and he marked it again, and i like where it was. So then, he put the clamp on and checked to see if it was straight and what-not. He told me to close my eyes so I wouldnt freak out seeing a needle sticking out of my face, and then he stuck the needle through, put the jewelry in, and it was all done. It didn't hurt one bit, all I felt was a little pinch.

One night i was really bored and decided that i wanted to get a monroe piercing. So i grabbed a saftey pin and shoved it through. The pain wasn't bad.. just a little burning after. I left the saftey pin in for only a few minutes, then changed it to a flat back ring. It healed very well.. considering it was not professional, nor even done with the right equipment. It barley swelled and had very little redness, and healed up fully in about one month. I have now had it for about 4 months and still love it!

I got this piercing actually yesterday.. I love the feeling of getting piercings the needle feels great.. I this on was the best.. I have my tounge and the other is my rook.. My new piercing is my favorite i cant stop loking at it..
