First off the basics. I got my orbital exactly a year ago. I got it the summer after my senior year. How I got it is another story. I've been researching the internet for a new piercing since my pierced tongue didn't work out due to it being ripped a little and it looking like a volcano so I just took it out. I was bummed since I didn't have a piercing to show off. One day one of my coworkers came in and she had gotten an orbital, I've never seen it before in real life-except in the pictures I've seen online- and I thought it was cool.
I finally got an cartilage orbital today that I've been wanting for months. I went on this site a lot and read these experiences, so it's only fitting that I submit my own. When I went in there, I was kinda nervous, but when I went inside the studio, I felt calmer. I filled out papers and then I paid for it. They gave me Iced Tea to drink and a piercer whom I will call Sway (that sounds like an edgy piercer name) did all the cleaning stuff. Then, she got the first needle and put it through my ear. That didn't hurt. Next, she had to use a bigger needle, and that part hurt.
I got a helix orbital done about a week and a half ago. And honestly, it's my favorite piercing so far!
hello there. i have a horror story. but i still would reccomend this peircing. it wasnt the peircing that caused this it was the peircer. so read on but dont let it influence your peircing decision :]okay. so im rae and im 15 years old. i wanted an orbital for about 6 months. but my mom said not untill my tragus fully healed. so i wait and wait and wait. finally i get to go. so i go to nothing shocking in fullerton california..now i have had 3 lobes 2 cartilages my bellybutton my tragus my cartilage industrial and my daith peirced there by john so i wasnt that nervous. but. jhon wasnt there.
i had been buggin my mom about gettin my ear pierced for my birthday and she finally gave in about 3 months after... My bestfriend went with us b/c its tradition, plus im a wuss and needed someone there. haha... well we got to the place and the guy asked me what i wanted to get peirced, i told him i wanted and orbial slanted at an angle around my snug.. thats when he told me it was the most painful piercing i could have chosen. i got really nervous while i waited for him to set up. finally he was ready and i took my best friend in the back room with me to get it done.
Hey everyone, this is just an update to say that i don't have my orbital anymore
i had it done last year on the 1st September, which i have wrote about and submitted on Tuesday October 21 2003.
I have a tradition of getting at least 1 piercing every school year (I've been doing this since 9th grade and I'm now a senior in colege) to celebrate the end of it. For this past year I had my existing cartilage piercing turned in to an orbital. I stopped by the piercing parlor on the edge of campus on my way homw after finals and asked if they could do it. The piercer looked at my existing piercing and said "no problem." He took me back in to an all white room with several glass front cabinets containing sterile needles and told me to sit on the paper covered table.
I got a Conch orbital. The piercer pierced two seperate holes and used CBR/BCR until they healed. The pierceing was directly in the center of my ear (the part that closely attaches to your head). She pierced through over 1/4" of cartilage. It was the most painful of the piercings that I have and I would rather have gotten a tattoo. It looks awesome if you get a horseshoe and have the balls in the front or back. It's an eye catcher. Make sure you make a doughnut around your ear if you plan to sleep on it.
Well, yesterday i went in to get a helix orbital... one of the coolest piercings you can get! Wait, all piercings are cool, but thats besides the point. Anywayzzz... i went in yesterday and told the guy at the counter what i wanted and he was all like " wow, not many people have those theyre pretty uncommon- usually the coolest and toughest people get those" He didnt even have one!
I have had my orbital for about six weeks now and it is healing up nicely. Well it started out as any piercing, I decided that day that i was going to get it done... So I went to ArtistsOfLife Tattoos and Piercings in Hamilton, Ontario where I get all my piercings done and tell Leslie "I want an Orbital:)". She gets all excited because she has to get one of her special needle to do it *woohoo*. So I went back into the same room and sit on the table/bench or w/e you want to call it while she washes her hands, puts on her gloves, gets the package with the needle etc.
