Yesterday I went with my boyfriend to get a tattoo. I have been thinking about getting a rook for a while now. I already have several piercings including tragus, nipples, tongue, and belly button. I thought it would hurt and it didn't! Not even a little bit! I hope to get my clitoral hood soon.Go for it!!!!!
Yesterday after about 4 years of debating it, and after getting my tongue and my nose done, I went and got my rook done. Well the waiting room was so packed and me and my sister and my friend went in and got our place in line. My friend didn't have her ID so she couldn't get hers done so I had to do it by myself. So, after like 45 minutes of wanting to throw up they called us back and my sister went first. She got a monroe and she said that it hurt like hell!
I got my rook done during an after-concert adrenaline rush. Chris Patterson at Ace in the Hole tattoo and piercing in Dallas, Texas did it for me at 12:30 am. He did a very good job on it. I laid down, he told me to take a few deep breaths and it was over with. It made me cringe, but thats all. It wasn't any searing pain. Definately something anyone can handle. It only had one drop of blood that I found while cleaning it that night. It is still healing, though, and it has been pierced for a few month. It is definately a piercing that needs time!!
My rook is now 5 days old and has finally stopped aching and throbbing, that is, for now. It wasn't as bad to have done as I initially thought it would be. There was of course some pain but nothing like I was expecting. Mom called ahead of time to see if we could get in around 4 that day but he wasn't available at that time. He came into town just to pierce us (she had her daith done). I sat in the chair, my piercer cleaned and marked me. I trusted his judgement in placement and when he pushed the needle through it got stuck about half way.
I've had my rook pierced 5 weeks now. I wanted to add to my original post. The healing is going well although I must admit this piercing is definitely a pita!
I just got my rook peirced yesterday after about a month of debating whether or not it was worth the pain. I decided to get it done, and it honestly wasn't that bad at all...i've heard of people passing out from a rook peircing before but for me it wasn't that bad, and it was worth it because it looks REALLY cool. The only pain was the loss of S50!! so if you are considering getting this done, go for it! it looks great and the pain isn't that bad at all.
I just got what is going to be my last piercing for a long while
but what a piercing!!!!I decided a long time ago that I wanted a rook piercing, this was because I had gone into my local piercing studio (OUCH!
I just got my rook pierced about a day ago. I decided to get my rook pierced about a month ago and I fell in love with it. After much debate from my mom because she had these wierd theories about what it did to you, she finally agreed. So we decided to go one day and I was totally nervous because I read all these stories on this website and asked many people who had it done and they made me nervous. So after we got there, there was some problems with id's because I'm underage but we got that fixed and I was ready.
After much thought I finally decided to have my rook pierced. I was very nervous about the amount of pain that there would be because my peircer had told me several times that it was quite a painful piercing. I was told to take a deep breath in and let it out and he says ok it's done and I told him wow that was it. It was much easier than I thought it would be. I have a cute 16g curved barbell. The most painful part was having the jewelry put in. I must admit cleaning it has been no walk in the park.
I went to Ace in the Hole to see Chris Patterson in deep Ellum with my boyfriend after a show to go get him a PA. Well, I have a problem where I cannot go into a piercing parlor without getting something. I layed down on the table, he marked my ear, asked if I approved, and pierced it. It was really quick. It hurt, but noting unbearable. No tears, no cussing, just a little gasp. It didn't bleed much at all. Definately worth it
