I went last night after careful consideration tp Pinz & Needlez to get my rook pierced. I talked to a girl who worked there who had it done, hers was pierced at an 18g, she said it hurt sooo bad. she said it was probably because the gage was so small as well as her rook. after the piercer (kevin) looked at my rook, he said it was so perfect for a 14g. it hurt and bled. but they said it was it was pretty intense and i handled it awesome aside from a few "owes!!" every now and then i feel some pain but other than that i'm fine.
For awhile I really wanted to get a new piercing. The promblem was what should I get?
i just got my rook done yesterday. really it didn't hurt, but after, if you forget that it's there and you smash the phone against it or something, it REALLY hurts. okay, so i went in and got it done at fancy fingers, who also do peircings and tatoos. the lady who did it actually put in an 18 ring (for the tragus) and told me to clean it lots because i'm prone to infection (seriously, all my peircings infected, lobes and cartelidge) so you have to clean it lots.
i got my rook done in the beginning of december.. and i find peircings somehow enjoyable, so it didnt hurt.. but recentally (march, end of feb. 04") i got a like a bubble above my ring. its quite disturbing, and annoying cause u cant pop it.. or get rid of it.. u just have to wait till it heals. and i've talked to friends who had the same problem with other cartalidge peircings. they said it takes about 3 months till it goes away. so consider dealing with this b4 u get it.
I got my rook pierced on Saturday...and i swear to you, it didn't hurt one bit. i was really grossed out by the crunching though. it felt like a needle goign through a bunch of dry cardboard..ya, nice eh? now its getting a bit red and throbs sometimes, but it looks sweet. and gets tons of attention. i got mine done at 'Need A New Hole' in Windsor. i heard that it hurt soooo much and it was like the most painful thing ever..but really its not. i was really surprised. if your thinking about getting this peircing, get it!! dont
out! it looks awsome.
I got my rook done .. about 2-3 hours ago at Tatoos By Ela in Fort Oglethorpe, GA by Brent. Brent does all my piercings .. He's awesome. This, however, hurt like a son of a bitch. I have 2 gauge first holes in my lobes .. and about a month ago, I got my second holes pierced with 8s. I also have my industrial, an 8 in my cartilage and my tragus. The rook was definetly my most painful. He couldn't get the clamp to go on all the way .. so he did it without a clamp .. but couldn't get the needle to go through the back .. ::sigh:: and it hurt.
i got my rook pierced on melrose last year when i was 15. it was done by matt (i think) at house of freaks (awesome place, i got my inner conch done there too) and it was really fast and painless. i had a little green bead in the cbr but then i changed it to a hematite one. i'm looking for a barbell to go in there, so yeah. if you wanna get a "unique" piercing get this done. its not easy to notice but ehrn people do, it's usually very nice, and everyone who has noticed it likes it. so uh, yeah, this piercing's fun
i got my rook pierced in may (5/13/03) and it finally headled in october. it was well worth is though. i was kinda nervous about getting it done. my heart was beating fast in the car. my mom was there with me but she didn't come back to hold my hand. not that i needed her too because it was rather painless. Ivy, the girl who did it sterilized ther ring and took out the clamps and the needle. i was bouncing my leg and being paranoid. then she told me to lay down and turn on my left side. so i did and she told me to take deep breaths and on the third one she stuck the needle in.
I got my rook pierced a week ago, and this was my first professional piercing. I was really nervous because I had read so many times that it's the most painful one, and also went through the whole helix-piercing-with-a-gun thing a few years ago, which did not turn out. But my piercer was really nice and patient and knowledgeable, and answered all my questions and made me feel a lot better. I was still waffling after I had been cleaned and marked for the needle, but finally lay down on the chair.
I had decided long ago to have this done, and finally had the money to do it. I went to my trusty piercer in Chico, CA at Victory Tattoo. Derek has done a majority of my piercings and I always end up with great results. So I walk in, and take a seat, we line it up and he puts the needle through. There was some diffuculty getting the needle in because of the location of the piercing and Derek's attempt to not stab me in the head. After getting the needle through he inserted the jewelry and it was over. One of the more painful piercings, but nothing I wouldn't do again.
