I've wanted a nape piercing for a few months, and finally decided to get it!
I went in on a Thursday and met the piercer. He measured my neck and made some markings, then showed me the markings and asked if I liked them. I did, and he said that we could go ahead and do the piercing right then if I wanted to. Since I didn't have the money or the time to care for the piercing properly (the next week was finals week!), I made an appointment to come in a week from that day, after my last final.
I've had my tragus (right and left) done for a little over 5 years now. My left one was my first piercing and then got the right done about a year after that. These are still my two favorite piercings. Currently I have a 14g labret stud in both of them but I've worn CBR's, Circular Barbells, Curved barbells, just about whatever jewelry will fit in them and looks okay. Very versatile piercing. I didn't really have any problems with either one although they both did take a little over a year to completely heal.
So I finally got my right conch done. All balanced out. I had the left one done back in September. I will say that this is not a piercing for the faint of heart. For me the actual piercing is the easiest part. Pain on a scale of 1-10 I would rate at something like a 1.5-2. Not bad at all. However, these things take forever to heal and stay sore for quite some time. It is well worth the trouble though as I love them and get comments and compliments on them all the time. A big thank you to Brian and Eric of Living Canvas in Columbia, MO!! You guys are awesome!!
I had my ears pierced a few times over the years with guns. At the time they were done body piercing wasn't legal yet in Vermont. Every time they developed issues and I had to let them heal. The last time they were gunned was back in '95, the same year my neice was born. They healed but were problematic ever since then. I could only were earrings a few times a year. I finally got sick of it. I went to my piercer Cindy, the same gal who did my nipples and labret and talked to her about re-piercing my ears with a needle.
My girlfiend who also is a piercer. Decided to give a early xmass present of a pa. She brought all the tools home to do the job at home and what a gift it is. I kept it secret so far. We talked and decided on a PA – I thought it looked great and I was curious about how sex would be with a PA. I am a OTR trck driver.
Today I got my navel pierced at Forever Sacred in Centerville, IA by Cynthia who rocks!
After going through the process of paperwork, signatures, and proof of ID I was ready to go back and get pierced!
I admittedly have been on the fence about getting a navel piercing, because I'm not the typical body-shape for it, but after some gentle coaxing, and some help from friends, I decided to get it done, for me. I pretty much say "it's now or never" and I decided it was now!
I had been wanting a new piercing for a while, and had came to the conclusion the next addition would be either my nostril or my snug. Originally I had been leaning towards my snug because I'm in college studying to become a medical lab tech, and facial piercings aren't too popular in a hospital lab, plus I'm scared of needles and a needle coming towards my face wasn't my idea of fun. Well I decided, screw it, I'd do it anyways. My friend and I had our night planned out, we'd get dinner, get pierced (my nostril, her rook), then waste some time til our movie started.
I had just got my 3rd holes done and my ears still looked plain so i figured i would get my helix, i got my right side then i descided to get the left too. I could feel it going in and going out but surprisingly it didn't hurt AT ALL. My 2nd holes in my lobes hurt more than my helix. For the next week it was killer to sleep expecially since i got both sides done and there was two fresh holes on both sides but they are fine now. I love it.
I got my eyebrow pierced without a clamp. It didn't hurt at all, it just felt like someone tugging on my eyebrow. I love it.
If you are considering it i say, go for it.
