So on October 1st I finally decided to get my septum pierced. I had been thinking about this piercing for a while but was a little hesitant because I don't think that everyone can pull this particular piece off. Just not sure if my face was suited for it. I decided to just go ahead and do it and if it didn't look right there should be no reason I couldn't take it out or just flip it up. So I went to my piercer who is about an hour away. He's been piercing a long time and this made number 8 that he's done on me.
Ok so yesterday I went to see the piercer to start on my frenum ladder. I went to a local shop in Worcester called The Piercing Emporium and had my work done by Marc Williams. He made sure to explain everything and had a very calm way of doing things. He made sure to explain step by step how he was going to do things and made it very comfortable.
We decided on starting with 10ga barbells and ended up going with 3/4 inch length. The longest part of the whole thing was marking the holes.
I have never thought about getting my tongue pierced ever...at first I wanted a surface piercing on my wrist but they didn't do that, so I went home and thought about what I am gonna do, so then I thought about a tongue piercing and wasn't sure if I should get something like that pierced cuz I have heard a lot about a tongue piercing that wasn't so good...I was afraid they might hit the veins and my face would go numb, stuff like that...the next day I said heck with it and I decided to go get my tongue pierced...nervous as can be got it done
, now it has been 3 days and everything is still
I have wanted a PA for many years but never had the nerve to go through with it, I have no other piercings or tattoos. I found this website and the experiences posted convinced me that I should just do it. So about 6 hours ago I did.
I went to Platinum Tattoo and Piercing (Perrin Beitel & 410) in San Antonio. The shop is real clean. Mingo listened to and answered all my questions. He took me and my friend into a room and I dropped trou. I did not watch the procedure. We had decided that I would be getting a 10g horseshoe or circle barbell.
After thinking and researching all the materials about getting my hood pierced, I finally done it today. Although I couldn't go with a vertical one I went with a hortizontal one. I was so nervous about the pain and all of that, but the pain wasn't bad at all just a little prick and it was done. To me the worse part of all of it is having to get undressed from the waist done and having someone that you don't know and isn't a person with a medical degree, looking at that region of your body, but apparently I dealt with that.
I got my Apadravya a little over a week ago. I got it at Slave to the Needle in Ballard.(http://www.slavetotheneedle.com) I had done a little research and asked some people, and found that this was pretty much the place around Seattle to get pierced. I went in on a Saturday somewhat spontaneously...some plans had fallen through and I was planning on doing it that weekend, but it was kind of a...lets go do this... Adam was the man on duty when we showed(not that it mattered either way).
I got myh eyebrow done about 7 months ago.. before I got it I was a little nervous myh stomach started hurting a little and everything... When I got to the place I started felling a little bit better because I talked to the guy who was about to pierce me and he said that doesnt hurt at all.. We go to the room and he tells me to sit in the chair so I do.. then he tells me to relax.. He goes to wash his hands and opens a new needle and then he asks me am I ready I wanted to say NO but I just took a deep breath and said Yea..
I went into the local tattoo shop today to get my tragus jewelry changed. I had a yearning for another hole and I have wanted my inner conch done for a while. I decided since I had the money I would go ahead and do it. I told my piercer, after he changed my tragus jewelry, that I wanted my inner conch pierced. He said he didn't have anyone waiting so he would go ahead and do it. He set up the supplies and marked my ear. I looked in the mirror to check out the placment and it was perfect. I laid back down in the chair and he lined up the needle with the marker.
The main reason I'm writing this is to hopefully help anyone new who may be considering getting an amp for the first time. This is a serious piercing, and although I'm no expert on the matter, I still wanted to provide a little of my own insight about getting it and how its been for me. I've actually had two ampallangs. I had the first one from about 1995 to 1997, and the second one from 2005 to the present.
Ampallang No. 1 - Back about 1995 or so I decided I wanted to get my first piercing. I wasn't sure what I wanted, so I did a little web-surfing to see what interested me.
About two months ago, I decided I was so close to an 0g for my PA that I would stretch the piercing to 0 g. I got a correct taper...lots of nerve and then slowly worked the taper through with a 1/2 curved barbell. It eventually went in, but I must say that it was not "pain free or blood free." There was a bit of bleed not much, but a bit. I also have to say I had a hell of a sweat going too...wow.
That jump from 2g to 0g is huge and to say that that is just a couple of millimeters.....wow.
